1883: Rangers are defeated 4-1 by Queen’s Park in the Glasgow Merchants’ Charity Cup Final. The Rangers goal came from an Arnott OG.

1888: Sadly, the goalscorers remain unknown as Rangers beat Camelon 3-1 in a Friendly.

1894: Rangers are beaten 3-1 in a Friendly by Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. The Rangers goalscorer cannot be traced.

1903: Rangers are beaten 1-0 by Partick Thistle in a benefit match for Partick Nurses.

1954: Rangers continue their North American Tour with a 6-0 thrashing of the Hamilton & District All-Stars. Goals from Willie McCulloch, Johnny Hubbard, Willie Paton, Billy Simpson, George Young and Willie Thornton saw Rangers to victory in Ontario.

1955: Rangers suffer a 4-1 Friendly defeat to Racing Club de Paris in France. Johnny Hubbard pulled a goal back for Rangers with a penalty. The previous month, the Light Blues had defeated the French side 5-1 at Ibrox.

1998: Rangers break the Scottish Transfer record as they complete the signing of Arthur Numan from PSV Eindhoven for a fee of £4.5 million.

2008: The Title race goes to the Final day as Rangers beat St Mirren 3-0 to stay in contention. Kris Boyd opened the scoring before Jean-Claude Darcheville netted a brace. 2019: Alfredo Morelos scores as Rangers end the season with a 2-1 loss at Kilmarnock.

2020: Rangers announce that Andy Halliday, Wes Foderingham, Jon Flanagan, Jason Holt, Jordan Rossiter and Jak Alnwick will all leave the club upon the expiry of their contracts the following month.
