1876: Rangers draw 0-0 with Lennox in a Friendly at Kinning Park.

1882: A James Gossland brace and a goal from David Hill earns Rangers a 3-2 Friendly victory over Queen’s Park at Kinning Park.

1893: Robert Blyth and John Gray score for Rangers as they go down 4-2 to Hearts in a League fixture in Edinburgh.

1899: Rangers thump Clyde 7-0 thanks to a John McPherson hat-trick, 2 goals from Alec Smith and 1 each from RC Hamilton and Andrew Sharp.

1905: Despite going ahead through Hugh Shaw, Rangers are forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Dundee.

1911: Billy Hogg and Willie Reid are on the scoresheet for Rangers as they draw 2-2 away at Airdrie.

1916: A Tommy Cairns brace secures a 2-1 win for Rangers over Motherwell.

1922: Rangers draw 0-0 with Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

1933: Rangers win another Glasgow Cup with a 2-0 Final victory over Clyde. Bob McPhail and Bobby Main were on target for the Gers.

1939: Rangers seal their place in the Glasgow Cup Final with a 2-1 win over Third Lanark in the Replayed Semi-Final. Willie Waddell had put the Light Blues ahead but an 86th minute goal from Thomas Gilmour was needed to set-up a clash with Queen’s Park.

1944: Rangers defeat Hamilton 4-2 courtesy of goals from Torry Gillick (2), Alex Venters and Neil McKinnon.

1946: 50,000 fill Ibrox to see goals from Willie Arnison, Jimmy Caskie and Torry Gillick give Rangers a 3-1 Friendly win over Sparta Prague.

1950: Rangers come from behind to beat Third Lanark 2-1 at Ibrox. Sammy Cox equalised before Eddie Rutherford netted a winner.

1961: Ralph Brand hits 4 as Rangers trounce Raith 6-0 at Ibrox. Ian McMillan and Davie Wilson are also on the scoresheet.

1967: A goal each from John Greig, Orjan Persson and Alex Ferguson all scored a goal each to secure Rangers a 3-1 win at Clyde.

1968: Rangers thump Queen’s Park 7-1 in the Glasgow Cup 1st Round with goals scored by John Greig, Sandy Jardine (4) and Willie Johnston (2).

1970: Willie Johnston and Colin Stein score to see Rangers defeat Cowdenbeath 2-0 in the Semi-Final of the League Cup. The Ibrox men would face Celtic in the Final.

1972: Goals from Quinton Young and Derek Parlane hands Rangers a 2-0 victory over Motherwell at Fir Park.

1978: Rangers draw 0-0 with Hearts at Tynecastle.

1983: Rangers confirm that they were to send a team to compete in the newly created Tennents’ Sixes Competition. The six-a-side event that would be held in Falkirk carried a £3k appearance bonus and a further £5k for the winner. Aberdeen were the only top division side to turn down the invitation.

1989: Mo Johnston and Ally McCoist score for Rangers as they overcome Dundee Utd 2-1 at Ibrox.

1995: Rangers ease to a 4-0 victory over Partick Thistle. Richard Gough opened the scoring before Gordon Durie netted a hat-trick.

1997: Rangers re-sign Richard Gough on a Free Transfer from the Kansas City Wizards.

2000: Rangers have Andrei Kanchelskis sent-off as they go down 1-0 away at Hibs.

2006: Rangers are beaten 1-0 at home by Inverness.

2016: Kenny Miller scores his 100th Rangers goal to secure a 1-0 victory away at Inverness.
