1887: John Gow and Turner (OG) are the only known goalscorers as Rangers defeat Pollokshields in the Glasgow Cup 2nd Round. The Gers would face Westbourne in the Quarter-Final.

1892: Rangers draw 0-0 with St Mirren in a League match at Ibrox.

1898: Johnny Campbell scores for Rangers who are held to a 1-1 draw by Celtic in the Semi-Final of the Glasgow Cup.

1904: Goals from RC Hamilton and Alec Mackie earn Rangers a 2-2 draw against Celtic at Parkhead. Alex Bennett scored both goals for the hosts.

1910: Jimmy Gordon grabs the equaliser as Rangers can only draw 1-1 with Third Lanark.

1912: Rangers open their Inter-City League fixtures with a 5-2 win over Aberdeen. Goals from Robert Parker, Billy Hogg, John Goodwin, Dr James Paterson and RG Campbell get the Light Blues off to a winning start.

1921: Rangers defeat Airdrie 2-1. Geordie Henderson levelled up before Andy Cunningham scored the winner.

1927: Jimmy Fleming scores the only goal to give Rangers a 1-0 victory over Celtic at Ibrox.

1932: Rangers win another Glasgow Cup with Dr James Marshall scoring the winner in their 1-0 Final win against Partick Thistle.

1938: Rangers beat Partick Thistle 4-1 with goals coming from Bob McPhail, Willie Thornton and Alex Venters (2).

1949: Billy Williamson and Eddie Rutherford get the goals as Rangers defeat Falkirk 2-0 at Brockville.

1955: Rangers come from 1-0 down at half-time to defeat Partick Thistle 3-1 thanks to goals from Johnny Hubbard, Alex Scott and Sammy Baird.

1960: A Ralph Brand brace and a goal from Jimmy Millar hands Rangers a 3-1 victory over Dunfermline at Ibrox.

1962: Davie Wilson and Jimmy Millar are on the scoresheet as Rangers draw 2-2 with Celtic in the Glasgow Cup 1st Round.

1966: Despite going ahead through Jimmy Millar, Rangers can only draw 1-1 with Hearts at Tynecastle.

1974: Rangers secure their place in the Glasgow Cup Final with a 3-1 Semi-Final win over Queen’s Park. Goals from Graham Fyfe, Derek Parlane and Derek Johnstone set-up a clash with Celtic.

1977: Rangers thump Motherwell 4-1. Gordon Smith opened the scoring before Derek Johnstone netted a hat-trick.

1983: After going 2-0 down, goals from Bobby Russell and Ian Redford brought Rangers back on level terms with Dundee but Iain Ferguson scored his 2nd to give the Dee’s a 3-2 win.

1994: A goal each from Charlie Miller and Davie Robertson hands Rangers a 2-0 win.

2011: Nikica Jelavic is on target as Rangers are held to a 1-1 draw at home to St Mirren. Steven Thompson scored a 95th minute equaliser.
