1875: The Rangers goalscorer remains unknown from their 1-1 Friendly draw with Helensburgh.

1880: Rangers defeat Partick Thistle 4-1 in a Friendly thanks to 2 goals from William Struthers and 1 each from Moses McNeil and Willie Pringle.

1886: Andrew Peacock scores the only goal as Rangers defeat Northern 1-0 at Kinning Park.

1897: 4 goals from Jim Miller and 2 from Tommy Hyslop earns Rangers a 6-0 win over Partick Thistle in the Glasgow Cup 1st Round. The Gers would face Celtic in the Semi-Final.

1899: Rangers draw 1-1 with Hearts at Tynecastle. RC Hamilton equalised for the Gers who dropped a point for the first time in the League for 17 months.

1909: 2nd half goals from Tom Gilchrist and Jimmy Gordon sees Rangers come from behind to beat Aberdeen 2-1 at Ibrox.

1915: Rangers beat Ayr Utd 5-2 courtesy of goals from Willie Reid (2), Scott Duncan, Tommy Cairns and Andy Cunningham.

1917: His Majesty King George V holds an Investiture at Ibrox Park. The Monarch would present several knighthoods and war medals, including 3 Victoria Crosses, in the first Investiture to be held in Glasgow since the Union of the Crowns. Rangers Chairman Sir John Ure Primrose and Manager William Wilton were officially introduced to the King who joked that the crowd would much rather be watching a football match.

1920: Alan Morton pulls a goal back for Rangers who are beaten 2-1 by Celtic in the Semi-Final of the Glasgow Cup.

1922: Rangers draw 0-0 with Hearts at Tynecastle.

1926: Jimmy Fleming and Tommy Cairns get the goals as Rangers beat Hearts 2-0 at Tynecastle.

1934: Archie McAuley scores a last minute winner for Rangers who beat Manchester City 1-0 in the unofficial British Championship 1st Leg. The Gers would travel to Maine Road for a return fixture with the FA Cup holders 2 weeks later.

1935: Jimmy Smith scores twice against Sheffield Wednesday to hand Rangers a 2-0 win at Ibrox in the 2nd Leg of the unofficial British Championship. The Gers had drawn 1-1 at Hillsborough, 2 weeks previously.

1937: Rangers draw 1-1 with Ayr Utd at Somerset Park. Bob McPhail had put Rangers ahead inside 10 minutes.

1943: Rangers thump Third Lanark 6-0 thanks to 4 goals from Willie McIntosh and 1 each from Torry Gillick and George Young.

1948: Rangers draw 0-0 with Hibs at Easter Road in the 2nd match of the League Cup Section A.

1954: Rangers are beaten 2-0 by Celtic at Parkhead.

1963: Ralph Brand and Jim Forrest grab the goals to hand Rangers a 2-0 win over East Fife in the League Cup Quarter-Final 2nd Leg. The Ibrox side progressed 3-1 on aggregate to face Berwick Rangers in the Semi-Final.

1965: Rangers beat Celtic 2-1 at Ibrox. Jim Forrest opens the scoring on 7 minutes before George McLean nets the winner on the 20th minute.

1968: Rangers defeat Vojvodina Novi Sad 2-0 in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup 1st Round 1st Leg. John Greig and Sandy Jardine were on target for the Gers at Ibrox.

1971: Rangers beat Falkirk 3-0 at Brockville. Colin Stein opened the scoring before John Greig netted a brace.

1974: Rangers are beaten 3-1 by Southampton in the Texaco Cup 1st Round 1st Leg. Colin Jackson was on the scoresheet for the Gers at Ibrox.

1976: Derek Parlane scores for Rangers who draw 1-1 with Hibs at Easter Road.

1982: Rangers beat Kilmarnock 5-0 at Ibrox with goals scored by John McDonald (2), John McClelland, Derek Johnstone and Bobby Russell.

1984: Rangers are beaten 3-2 by Bohemians in Dublin, in the UEFA Cup 1st Round 1st Leg. Ally McCoist and Dave McPherson were on target for the Light Blues.

1985: Craig Paterson scores the only goal of the game as Rangers beat Osasuna in the UEFA Cup 1st Round 1st Leg.

1991: Rangers are beaten 1-0 by Sparta Prague in the European Cup Qualifying Round 1st Leg.

1993: Rangers are beaten 2-0 by Aberdeen at Pittodrie. Steven Pressley scored an OG.

1996: Rangers secure their League Cup Semi-Final place with a 4-0 win at Ibrox over Hibs. Goals from Gordon Durie, Peter van Vossen (2) and Jorg Albertz set-up a tie with Dunfermline.

2001: UEFA backtrack on their decision and decide that Rangers’ UEFA Cup tie with Anzhi will be played over a single match in neutral Poland, sparing the Gers a trip to war-torn Dagestan.

2003: Rangers bring Hamed Namouchi to Ibrox from Cannes. Marc Kalenga is also recruited from Auxerre.

2010: Rangers beat Dundee Utd 4-0 thanks to goals from Dillon (OG), Steven Naismith and Kenny Miller (2).

2011: Rangers defeat Celtic 4-2 at Ibrox. Steven Naismith gave Rangers the lead but 2nd half goals from Nikica Jelavic, Kyle Lafferty and Naismith are required to see the Gers come from 2-1 down at half-time to earn the victory.

2012: Rangers are beaten 4-3 on penalties following a 2-2 draw with Queen of the South at Ibrox in the League Challenge Cup Quarter-Final. Barrie McKay and Lee McCulloch were on the scoresheet for the home side. The Gers had Kevin Kyle sent-off.

2013: Anestis Argyriou agrees to a mutual termination of his contract at Rangers. The Greek eventually signs for AEL Kalloni.
