1887: Willie White and Matthew Lawrie score as Rangers are beaten 3-2 by Dumbarton in a Friendly.

1892: The Rangers goalscorers remains unknown from their 3-1 Friendly defeat away at Queen’s Park.

1898: Rangers beat Cameronians 4-0 in the Glasgow Cup 1st Round thanks to a John McPherson double and a goal each from Alec Smith and Jim Miller.

1900: RC Campbell is on target for the Light Blues as they go down 4-1 to Hibs in a League encounter.

1904: 2 goals from Archie Kyle and 1 each from Alec Smith and RC Hamilton hands Rangers a 4-0 win over Queen’s Park at Hampden.

1910: Willie Reid scores both goals for Rangers who are beaten 4-2 at home to Aberdeen.

1921: Rangers secure their Glasgow Cup Final place with a 2-0 1st Round win over Third Lanark. Goals from Alan Morton and Robert McDiarmid set-up a clash with Celtic.

1923: Rangers draw 0-0 with Hearts at Tynecastle.

1927: Goals from Davie Meiklejohn and Bob McPhail sees Rangers come from 1-0 down to beat Airdrie 2-1.

1932: Rangers beat Partick Thistle 3-0. Alan Morton opened the scoring before Jimmy Smith netted a double.

1938: 2 goals each from Alex Venters and Willie Thornton, and a Black OG earns Rangers a 5-1 victory over Third Lanark at Ibrox.

1946: Billy Arnison scores twice as Rangers draw 2-2 with Clyde in the 1st Round of the Glasgow Cup.

1947: Rangers beat Queen’s Park 3-1 in the Glasgow Cup Semi-Final Replay. Willie Thornton put Rangers in-front but 2 extra-time goals from Willie Findlay secured the Light Blues’ Final place alongside Third Lanark.

1949: Rangers are stunned 3-2 by 2nd Division side Cowdenbeath at Ibrox in the League Cup Quarter-Final 1st Leg. Billy Williamson and David Marshall score as the Gers slip to defeat against a side in a lower division at home for the very first time.

1952: Derek Grierson and John Prentice get the goals as Rangers beat Third Lanark 2-0 in the 2nd Leg of their League Cup Quarter-Final. The Gers progressed 2-0 on aggregate to face Kilmarnock in the Semi-Final.

1955: Rangers thump Hamilton 8-0 in the League Cup Quarter-Final 2nd Leg thanks to goals from Alex Scott (3), John Prentice, Billy Simpson (2) and Johnny Hubbard (2). The Light Blues moved on 10-1 on aggregate to play Aberdeen in the Semi-Final.

1956: Rangers defeat Partick Thistle 5-0 in the Glasgow Cup 1st Round thanks to 2 goals eachf rom Johnny Hubbard and Derek Grierson and 1 from Max Murray. The Ibrox men would come up against Clyde in the Final.

1960: A Davie Wilson brace and a goal from Ralph Brand secures a 3-0 win for Rangers over Airdrie at Ibrox.

1966: Rangers are beaten 2-0 by Celtic at Parkhead.

1969: Willie Johnston scores twice to give Rangers a 2-0 win over Steaua Bucharest in the European Cup Winners’ Cup 1st Round 1st Leg.

1975: Goals from Graham Fyfe, Burke (OG), Derek Johnstone and Alex O’Hara gives Rangers a 4-1 win over Bohemians at Ibrox in the European Cup 1st Round 1st Leg.

1977: Sandy Jardine, Davie Cooper and Derek Johnston are on the scoresheet as Rangers draw 3-3 away at St Mirren.

1983: Rangers are beaten 2-0 by Aberdeen at Ibrox.

1986: A Robert Fleck hat-trick and a goal from Ally McCoist hands Rangers a 4-0 win at home to Ilves Tampere in the UEFA Cup 1st Round 1st Leg.

1988: A goal each from Ian Durrant and Scott Nisbett earns Rangers a 2-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle. Terry Butcher also scored an OG.

1994: Basile Boli and Brian Laudrup score as Rangers beat Falkirk 2-0 at Brockville. The Bairns had Davie Weir sent-off.

2000: Ronald de Boer scores the only goal as Rangers beat Hearts 1-0 at Ibrox.

2002: Rangers are beaten 2-0 by Viktoria Zizkov in the UEFA Cup 1st Round 1st Leg. Barry Ferguson missed a penalty for the Light Blues.

2005: Rangers beat Kilmarnock 3-0 at Rugby Park with goals scored by Dado Prso, Barry Ferguson and Greer (OG).

2006: Filip Sebo is on target as Rangers are beaten 2-1 by Hibs at Easter Road. The Gers had Phil Bardsley sent-off in the final moments of the game.

2013: Rangers secure their League Challenge Cup Semi-Final place with a 3-0 win over Queen of the South in the Quarter-Final. Goals from Bilel Mohsni, Jon Daly and Lee McCulloch sets-up a tie with Stenhousemuir.

2016: Rangers are held to a 0-0 draw by Ross County in the first ever League match between the sides, at Ibrox.
