1887: Despite a goal from Robert Brand, Rangers are beaten 2-1 by Partick Thistle at Inchview in the Scottish Cup 2nd Round.

1898: Rangers maintain their 100% winning record in the League with a 4-0 thumping of Celtic at Parkhead. A goal each from Bobby Neil, John McPherson, Johnny Campbell and Jim Miller secure the points.
