1887: Andrew Peacock is the only known goalscorer from Rangers’ 3-0 Friendly win over Linthouse.

1898: Rangers thrash Cartvale 12-0 in the Scottish Cup 2^nd Round with goals scored by RC Hamilton (4), Alec Smith (2), Bobby Neil, Davy Mitchell, Neil Kerr, Neilly Gibson, Jim Miller and Coulrough (OG). The Gers progressed to play Queen’s Park in the Quarter-Final.

1910: Rangers set-up a 2^nd Round Scottish Cup tie with Clyde after a 3-1 victory over Inverness Thistle. Goals from Willie Reid, John May and Tom Gilchrist secured safe passage for the Light Blues.

1916: An Alex Bennett double and a goal from Jimmy Gordon gives Rangers a 3-1 win at home against Kilmarnock.

1921: Andy Cunningham and Tommy Cairns gets the goals as Rangers defeat Dumbarton 2-0 at Ibrox.

1927: Rangers come from behind to beat Leith Athletic 4-1 in the 1^st Round of the Scottish Cup. Goals from Alan Morton (2), Jimmy Fleming and Tully Craig sets-up a 2^nd Round clash with St Mirren.

1938: Rangers ease to a 6-1 win over Alloa in the Scottish Cup 1^st Round thanks to goals from Jimmy Smith (2), Alex Venters, Bob McPhail and John Reid. The Ibrox men were drawn to play Queen of the South in the 2^nd Round.

1944: A brace rom Willie McIntosh and a goal from George Young secures a 3-0 victory for Rangers over Clyde at Shawfield.

1949: Rangers beat Elgin 6-1 in the Scottish Cup 1^st Round courtesy of goals from Willie Thornton (2), Jimmy Duncanson (2), Eddie Rutherford and Sammy Cox. Motherwell would provide the opposition in the 2^nd Round.

1966: Cousins Jim Forrest and Alex Willoughby are on target as Rangers leave Annfield with a 2-0 triumph over Stirling Albion.

1969: Goals from Dave Smith and Colin Stein earns Rangers a 2-1 home win over DWS Amsterdam in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup 3^rd Round. The Gers went through to play Atheltic Bilbao in the Quarter-Final, 4-1 on aggregate.

1972: 2^nd half goals from Derek Johnstone (3), Willie Johnston, John Greig and Alfie Conn sees Rangers cruise to a 6-0 win against Hearts in Edinburgh.

1977: An Alex MacDonald double and a goal from Derek Johnstone earns Rangers a narrow 3-2 win over Hearts at Ibrox.

1983: Rangers suffer a 2-0 loss to Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

1992: Ally McCoist scores the only goal as Rangers win 1-0 away at Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup 3^rd Round. The Gers progressed to face Motherwell in the 4^th Round.

1994: Rangers are held to a 0-0 draw by Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

2000: Rangers thump Aberdeen 5-0 at Ibrox with goals scored by Craig Moore, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Arthur Numan, Rod Wallace and Barry Ferguson. On the same day, Rangers sign Tugay from Galatasaray for an undisclosed fee.

2011: Rangers suffer a 1-0 defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle.

2020: Jermain Defoe nets the first half winner as Rangers defeat St Mirren 1-0 at Ibrox.
