1888: Rangers finally secure their place in the Glasgow Cup Final with a 3-1 4th Replay Semi-Final win over Cowlairs. Goals from Alick McKenzie, Robert Fraser and Andrew Peacock set-up a clash with Cambuslang.

1893: Hugh McCreadie scores the only goal as Rangers defeat Dumbarton 1-0 in the Scottish Cup 2nd Round. The Gers progressed to face St Bernard’s in the Quarter-Final.

1899: RC Hamilton and Alec Smith score a goal each to give Rangers a 2-1 Glasgow League win away at Third Lanark.

1905: Rangers thump Kilmarnock 6-2 thanks to goals from Finlay Speedie (2), John May, John Walker, RS McColl and Alec Mackie.

1911: Rangers beat Airdrie 4-1 at Broomfield with goals scored by Willie Reid (2), Alex Bennett and Billy Hogg.

1922: Rangers are held to a 0-0 draw by Hamilton at Douglas Park.

1928: Rangers defeat East Stirling 6-0 in the Scottish Cup 1st Round. A Jimmy Fleming hat-trick and goals from Andy Cunningham, Bob McPhail and Sandy Archibald booked the Light Blues’ place in the 2nd Round alongside Cowdenbeath.

1933: For the very first time, Rangers play host to a foreign side at Ibrox. 2 goals from Jimmy Smith and 1 from Bob McPhail earned the Light Blues a 3-3 draw with Rapid Vienna.

1939: Alex Venters grabs the winner as Rangers beat Raith 1-0 at Stark’s Park in the Scottish Cup 1st Round. The Ibrox men would meet Hamilton in the 2nd Round.

1950: Willie Findlay scores the decisive goal as Rangers beat Hearts 1-0 in Edinburgh.

1956: A goal each from Sammy Baird, Don Kitchenbrand and Johnny Hubbard hands Rangers a 3-0 victory against East Fife at Ibrox.

1959: Rangers come from behind to beat Airdrie 2-1 through goals from Harold Davis and Ian McMillan.

1961: Ralph Brand scores a hat-trick in Rangers’ 4-3 win over Third Lanark. Max Murray was also on the scoresheet.

1967: Alec Smith nets the winner to secure a 1-0 victory for Rangers over Falkirk at Brockville.

1984: Sandy Clark and Bobby Russell get the goals as Rangers beat St Johnstone 2-0 at Ibrox.

1989: Ian Ferguson, Ally McCoist and Terry Butcher all grab a goal each as Rangers defeat Dundee 3-1 at Ibrox.

1995: Charlie Miller scores the only goal inside the first minute as Rangers beat Hearts 1-0.

2002: Rangers secure their place in the Scottish Cup 4th Round with a 3-0 3rd Round Replay win over Berwick Rangers at Ibrox. Goals from Lorenzo Amoruso, Shota Arveladze and Bert Konterman sets-up a tie with Hibs.

2006: Kris Boyd and Dado Prso score twice each as Rangers defeat Livingston 4-1 at Ibrox.

2007: Charlie Adam scores on the 9th minute to give Rangers a 1-0 win against Dunfermline at East End Park.

2011: Kenny Miller moves to Bursaspor from Rangers in a £400,000 transfer.

2012: Maurice Edu equalises as Rangers are forced to settle for a 1-1 home draw with Aberdeen. Davie Weir said his farewell to the Ibrox crowd at half-time. The Defender had decided to call time on his Rangers career after falling out of the first team.

2015: Rangers end the contract of Arnold Peralta. The Honduran later signs for CD Olimpia.

2017: 2 late Kenny Miller goals are required by Rangers to overturn a 1-0 deficit to beat Motherwell 2-1 in the Scottish Cup 4th Round, at Ibrox. The Gers would face Greenock Morton in the 5th Round.
