1884: Willie Pringle and Tommy Cook score as Rangers are beaten 3-2 by Battlefield in a Friendly at Kinning Park.

1890: Donald Gow is the Rangers scorer in Rangers’ 1-1 draw with Partick Thistle in a Friendly at Inchview.

1902: Rangers defeat Port Glasgow 4-2 in a League match at Ibrox thanks to goals from Alex Brodie, Finlay Speedie and RC Hamilton (2).

1913: A Jimmy Bowie brace and a goal from Dr Jimmy Paterson seals a 3-2 victory for Rangers against Falkirk at Ibrox.

1919: Rangers are held to a 0-0 draw by Clydebank at Clydeholm Park.

1921: Rangers claim the Lord Provost’s Rent Relief Cup, with a 2-0 victory over Celtic in the Final at Hampden. Carl Hansen had opened the scoring before Tommy Cairns netted 3 minutes from the end.

1924: 2 goals from Geordie Henderson hands Rangers a 2-0 triumph over Hamilton at Ibrox. Billy McCandless also missed a penalty.

1930: Dr Jimmy Marshall and Bob McGowan score twice each as Rangers beat East Fife 4-0 at home.

1941: A goal each from Willie Waddell, Torry Gillick and Billy Williamson seals a 3-0 win for Ragers against Airdrie at Ibrox.

1947: Rangers defeat Aberdeen 4-0 at Ibrox courtesy of goals from Eddie Rutherford, Torry Gillick (2) and Willie Thornton. On the same day, Rangers sign 18-year-old Goalkeeper George Niven from Coupar Angus. He may have had to wait until 1952 for his first appearance but the Goalie went on to play over 300 times for the Light Blues until 1962.

1952: Goals from Billy Simpson and Derek Grierson earns Rangers a 2-2 draw with Hearts at Ibrox. Alfie Conn Snr grabbed a late equaliser for the visitors.

1958: Max Murray nets a hat-trick as Rangers rout Hearts 5-0. Ralph Brand grabbed the other 2 goals at Ibrox.

1960: Rangers beat Arsenal 4-2 in a Friendly at Ibrox with goals scored by Jimmy Millar, Davie Wilson and Ralph Brand (2).

1961: Rangers defeat Falkirk 2-1 at Brockville in the Scottish Cup 1st Round. Goals from Jimmy Millar and Davie Wilson set-up a 2nd Round clash with Arbroath. Eric Caldow also scored an OG.

1969: Rangers beat Dundee Utd 2-1 at Ibrox. Willie Henderson put the Gers ahead afer 13 minutes, but a Colin Stein goal 5 minutes from time proved necessary.

1975: Rangers kick-off a 38 game unbeaten run with a 3-0 victory at home over Ayr Utd. Sandy Jardine, Martin Henderson and Bobby McKean were all on the scoresheet in the 2nd period.

1978: Rangers secure their place in the League Cup Final with a 3-2 win over Celtic in the Hampden Semi. The Light Blues twice drew level, first by Sandy Jardine and then Colin Jackson. A Casey OG in Extra-Time cemented Rangers’ Final berth in a tie that saw Alex Miller sent-off.

1980: Rangers are beaten 2-0 away at Aberdeen.

1983: Bobby Williamson scores a hat-trick in a 6-0 Friendly victory over Ross County in Dingwall. Sandy Clark, Dave McPherson and Bobby Russell were also on target.

1986: Rangers defeat Falkirk 4-0 at Ibrox thanks to goals from Davie Cooper, Terry Butcher and Robert Fleck (2).

1996: Rangers secure the signature of Seb Rozental, who makes a £3.5 million switch from Chilean side Universidad Catolica.

1997: Rangers are held to a 0-0 draw by Dunfermline at East End Park.

2000: Rangers come from behind to defeat Aberdeen 3-1 at Ibrox through goals from Michael Mols, Billy Dodds and Jorg Albertz. This match saw the launch of Rangers’ exciting new smart card ticketing system. Initially rolled out to 5,000 supporters, the new tickets would eventually replace all of the season books. The system, which represented a £700,000 investment, was also hoped at some stage to be utilised by the catering facilities when purchasing refreshments.

2001: Kenny Miller leaves Rangers to join Wolves for £3 million.

2008: Kris Boyd and Kyle Lafferty score in Rangers’ 2-2 draw with Dundee Utd at Tannadice.

2017: Goals late in the First Half from Josh Windass and Alfredo Morelos sees Rangers come from behind to defeat Hibs 2-1 at Easter Road.

2018: Rangers are beaten 1-0 by Rapid Vienna at the Allianz Stadion in the 6th and final match of the Europa League Group G. The Gers finished in 3rd place with 6 points.

2020: A stunning James Tavernier free-kick and a Connor Goldson header earns Rangers a 2-1 victory over Dundee Utd at Tannadice.
