1874: Rangers’ first foray into the Scottish Cup comes to an end as the Gers are beaten 1-0 by Dumbarton in the 2nd Round Replay thanks to a controversial goal. Rangers were adamant that the Ball had actually gone over the bar, the Ref disagreed and awarded the goal.
1885: Rangers defeat Partick Thistle 5-0 in a Friendly courtesy of goals from Andrew Peacock (2), Charlie Heggie, Willie Pringle and Jim Buchanan.
1896: Rangers thump Abercorn 6-1 in a League match at Ibrox. Peter Turnbull (2), Tommy Hyslop (2) and Alec Smith are the only known goalscorers.
1903: An Alec Mackie double and a goal from RC Hamilton seals a 3-0 win for Rangers over Motherwell at Ibrox.

1925: 2 goals from Jimmy Fleming and 1 from Alan Morton gives Rangers a 3-1 home win over Hibs.

1981: Rangers beat Clyde 2-0 in the Glasgow Cup 1st Round. 2 goals in the last 6 minutes from Ian Redford sets-up a Final clash with Celtic.
1987: Richard Gough and Robert Fleck are on the scoresheet in Rangers’ 2-0 win away at Hibs.
1992: A goal each from Mark Hateley and Ally McCoist is enough to give Rangers a 2-1 victory at Falkirk. Fraser Wishart was on the mark for the Bairns.
1998: Rod Wallace grabs the decisive goal as Rangers beat Kilmarnock 1-0 at Ibrox.
2001: Fernando Ricksen equalises to earn Rangers a 1-1 draw with Hibs at Ibrox.
2007: Rangers are beaten 3-0 by Lyon in the Champions League Group E Match 8. The Light Blues had Jean-Claude Darcheville sent-off. Rangers finished 3rd in the Group and entered the UEFA Cup Round of 32 where they would face Panathinaikos.
2009: A Kris Boyd double and a goal from Nacho Novo gives Rangers a 3-0 victory against St Johnstone at Ibrox.
2014: Rangers are beaten 2-0 by Queen of the South in Dumfries. Prior to the match, Manager Ally McCoist offered his resignation to the Rangers Board.
2015: Kenny Miller and Martyn Waghorn score a goal each as Rangers draw 2-2 at home with Morton. James Tavernier also scored an OG.
2019: Alfredo Morelos scores as Rangers draw 1-1 with Young Boys in the final match of the Europa League Group G. The Gers ended the campaign in 2nd place with 9 points and progressed to play Braga in the Round of 32.
