1972: 2 goals from Colin Stein and 1 from Alex MacDonald earns Rangers a 3-1 win over Stirling Albion in the 1st Round of the Drybrough Cup. The Gers would face Hibs in the Semi-Final.

1973: A Derek Parlane double and a goal from Johnny Hamilton earns Rangers a 3-0 victory over Montrose in the Drybrough Cup Quarter-Final, at Ibrox. The Gers would meet Hibs in the Semi-Final.

1978: Rangers thump Inverness Caledonian 6-3 in a Friendly thanks to goals from Derek Parlane (2), Gordon Smith (2), Derek Johnstone and Bobby Russell.

1979: Alex MacDonald’s 28th minute goal is enough to beat Berwick Rangers 1-0 in the Drybrough Cup 1st Round. The Gers moved on to face Kilmarnock in the Semi-Final.

1982: Despite Craig Paterson putting Rangers ahead on 44 minutes (a lead they would hold until 79 minutes), the Gers are beaten 2-1 by Lokeren in the Tournoi de Nord Final.

1984: A Sandy Clark brace and a goal each from Cammy Fraser and Eric Ferguson seals a 4-2 win for Rangers in a Friendly with Solothurn.

1985: Rangers hammer Inverness Caledonian 6-0 in a Friendly with goals scored by Ted McMinn (2), Ally McCoist, Ian Durrant, Bobby Williamson and Bobby Russell.

1987: Rangers draw 3-3 with Inverness Thistle in a Friendly. Mark Falco, Ally Dawson and Colin West all netted a goal each for Rangers.

1989: Goals from Trevor Steven, John Brown and Kevin Drinkell give Rangers a 3-1 win over Airdrie in a Testimonial match for Billy McKeown and John Martin.

1991: Rangers beat Morton 1-0 in a Friendly. Davie Dodds scored the only goal of the match on 35 minutes.

1993: Rangers defeat Inverness Caledonian 5-0 in Billy Urquhart’s Testimonial courtesy of goals from Gary McSwegan, Paul Rideout, John Spencer and Ian Ferguson (2).

1994: Rangers are defeated 1-0 in a Friendly by Kaiserslautern.

1995: Goals from Ian Ferguson, Paul Gascoigne, Mark Hateley and Ally McCoist earn Rangers a 4-0 win over Steaua Bucharest in the Semi-Final of the Ibrox International Challenge Trophy and set-up a Final with Sampdoria, who defeated Tottenham. The Light Blues also sign Gordan Petric from Dundee Utd for £1.5 million.

1996: Rangers ease to a 7-2 win over Stirling Albion at Forthbank in a Friendly with goals coming from Erik Bo Andersen (2), Lee Dair (2), Gordon Durie, Barry Ferguson and Jorg Albertz.

1998: Jonatan Johnasson scores twice to hand Rangers a 2-0 win over Shelbourne in the UEFA Cup 1st Qualifying Round 2nd Leg. The Light Blues progressed 7-3 on aggregate to face PAOK Salonika.

2000: Rangers begin their League campaign with a 2-1 win over St Johnstone. 2 second half goals from Billy Dodds sees Rangers come from 1 down to claim victory. Alan Kernaghan was on target for the Saints.

2012: Rangers play their first game since demotion to the 3rd Division, a 2-1 victory in the League Challenge Cup over Brechin. Andy Little had the Gers ahead inside 4 minutes but an Extra-Time winner was required from Lee McCulloch to set-up a 2nd Round clash with Falkirk. Manager Ally McCoist also officially named Carlos Bocanegra as Rangers Club Captain.

2017: Michael O’Halloran departs Rangers for St Johnstone on loan until January.

2018: 2nd half goals from Alfredo Morelos, Nikola Katic and a Bruce OG hands Rangers a 3-0 win over Wigan in a Friendly at Ibrox.
