1972: The UEFA Disciplinary Committee reduces Rangers’ European ban to 1 year following an appeal from the Ibrox Club. Following a pitch-invasion at the conclusion of the 1972 European Cup Winners’ Cup Final, the Gers had been banned for 2 years, although Manager Willie Waddell announced immediately that the Club would appeal.

1998: Rangers complete the signings of Gabriel Amato from Real Mallorca for £4.2 million and Giovanni van Bronckhorst from Feyenoord for £5 million.

2004: Nacho Novo signs for Rangers for £450,000 from Dundee.

2005: Jose-Karl Pierre-Fanfan signs for Rangers on a Free Transfer from PSG.

2006: Paul le Guen’s Rangers kick off pre-season with a 2-0 win over Linfield at Windsor Park. Thomas Buffel and Kris Boyd were on target.

2007: Rangers secure the transfer of Carlos Cuellar from Osasuna for a fee of £2.37 million.

2011: Ally McCoist makes his first signing as Rangers Manager, Juanma Ortiz from Almeria for £500,000.

2014: Rangers draw 1-1 with Brora Rangers in the 2nd of 2 matches in the North of Scotland. Kris Boyd equalised for the Light Blues.

2016: Rangers defeat Charleston Battery 2-1 in the only scheduled pre-season fixture at the MUSC Health Stadium. Josh Windass and Harry Forrester netted for the Light Blues.

2017: Rangers announce their ninth summer signing, Graham Dorrans from Norwich for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around £1.3 million.

2018: Rangers defeat Bury 6-0 in a Friendly at Ibrox. Scott Arfield (2), Nikola Katic, Jamie Murphy, Alfredo Morelos and Zak Rudden all scored in Steven Gerrard’s first match as Manager. It was confirmed that James Tavernier would be Club Captain going forward.
