1889: Tom Wylie and Morgan are on the scoresheet as Rangers draw 2-2 in a Friendly with Uddingston.

1895: Hugh McCreadie pulls a goal back as Rangers go down 2-1 to Dundee in a League match at Carolina Port.

1901: Rangers thump Hibs 6-0 at Ibrox thanks to goals from RC Hamilton (2), Andrew Sharp (2). Alec Smith and Handling (OG).

1907: A goal each from John McFie and RG Campbell earns Rangers a 2-1 Scottish Cup 1st Round win away at Falkirk. The Light Blues would face Galston in the 2nd Round.

1918: Tommy Cairns and Robert McDiarmid got the goals as Rangers beat Ayr Utd 2-0 at Somerset Park.

1924: A Geordie Henderson hat-trick and a goal from Tully Craig gives Rangers a 4-1 victory over Lochgelly in the Scottish Cup 1st Round. The Gers would face St Mirren in the 2nd Round.

1929: Sandy Archibald and Andy Cunningham are on target as Rangers defeat Airdrie 2-0 at Ibrox. Davie Meiklejohn also missed a penalty.

1935: A Torry Gillick brace and a goal from Bobby Main seals a 3-1 Scottish Cup 1st Round win against Cowdenbeath. The Ibrox men were drawn to play Third Lanark in the 2nd Round.

1946: Rangers are held to a 4-4 draw at home by Morton. Billy Williamson and Ian McColl had the home side 2-0 up within 19 minutes although the Gers would find themselves 3-2 behind at half-time. Jimmy Caskie pulled a goal back just after the Ton extended their lead to 4-2 but a last minute goal from Willie Waddell secured a draw for the Light Blues.

1952: Rangers thrash St Mirren 5-0 with goals scored by Willie Paton, Willie Thornton (2) and Colin Liddell (2).

1957: 2 goals from Max Murray and a goal from Billy Simpson sees Rangers to a 3-0 win at Partick Thistle.

1966: Eric Caldow, Willie Mathieson and Roger Hynd are kidnapped outside Ibrox! The trio were walking back from the Albion Training Ground to Ibrox when a group of students from the Scottish Physiotherapy Hospital staged the stunt as part of their Charities Week. Manager Scot Symon was less than impressed, believing that his players could’ve have caught colds however it didn’t stop the students from carrying out a fundraising tricycle race at Ibrox a few days later.

1974: Tommy McLean and Derek Parlane both score hat-tricks as Rangers thump Queen’s Park 8-0 in the Scottish Cup 3rd Round. Ally Scott and Eric Morris are also on the scoresheet as the Gers progressed to face Dundee in the 4th Round. Parlane also missed a penalty.

1980: Sandy Jardine and Colin Jackson score in Rangers’ 2-2 draw with Clyde at Shawfield in the Scottish Cup 3rd Round.

1985: Rangers draw 3-3 with Morton in the Scottish Cup 3rd Round. John McDonald, Robert Prytz and Dave McPherson were on the mark for the Light Blues.

2002: Rangers defeat Hibs 4-1 in the Scottish Cup 4th Round courtesy of goals from Tore Andre Flo (2), Peter Lovenkrands and Billy Dodds. The Gers would meet Forfar in the Quarter-Final. On the same day, Dick Advocaat was named as the new Manager of the Dutch National side, hoping to combine the role with his Director of Football duties with Rangers.

2008: Goals from Chris Burke, Kris Boyd and Steven Whittaker (2) hands Rangers a 4-0 home win against St Mirren.

2011: Madjid Bougherra and Nikica Jelavic score as Rangers take a 2-0 win over Hibs in Edinburgh.

2013: Rangers are forced to settle for a 1-1 draw with Montrose at Ibrox. The home side went ahead through a Crawford OG.
