1877: A month after their first Scottish Cup Final, Rangers are beaten 4-0 by Queen’s Park in the Final of the Glasgow Charity Cup.

1888: Rangers are beaten 5-2 in a Friendly by Celtic in the first ever meeting between the 2 sides. Soutar netted both goals for the Gers.

1891: Rangers play Glasgow Warehousemen in a Friendly. Sadly, no further details of this match are known.

1892: Rangers hammer Queen’s Park 7-1 in the Glasgow Merchants’ Charity Cup Semi-Final. Goals from Peter Turnbull (2), Tommy McInnes (2), Frank Watt, John McPherson and Davy Mitchell set-up a Final clash with Celtic.

1896: The goalscorers remain unknown from Rangers’ 4-1 Friendly victory over Royal Albert.

1911: Rangers begin their Tour of Scandinavia with a 12-0 thrashing of a Grengland Select. Willie Reid and Joe Hendry both scored hat-tricks with Jimmy Gordon scoring twice and Billy Hogg, Alex Bennett, James Galt and George Waddell all grabbing 1 each.

1933: A Jimmy Smith hat-trick earns Rangers a 3-2 win over a Dresden DFB Select XI, as part of their tour of Germany.

1969: Jim Baxter returns to Rangers following spells at Sunderland and Nottingham Forest. His 2nd stint at the Club would be far less successful than his first, and would be released just a year later.

1979: 2 goals from Derek Johnstone and a Duncan OG in Extra-Time sees Rangers lift another Scottish Cup with a 3-2 win over Hibs in the Final Replayed for a 2nd time. Alex Miler had missed the chance to seal the win with a penalty in the first half of Extra-Time.

2013: Rangers agree to sign Nicky Clark on a Bosman from Queen of the South.

2015: Darren McGregor pulls a goal back as Rangers are beaten 3-1 by Motherwell at Ibrox in the 1st Leg of their SPFL Premiership Play-Off Final.
