1888: McLellan is on the scoresheet as Rangers are held to a 1-1 draw at home by Dumbarton Athletic in a Friendly.

1899: Rangers defeat Ayr Parkhouse 4-1 in the Scottish Cup 2nd Round with goals scored by RC Hamilton (2), Alec Smith and Johnny Campbell. The Gers progressed to face Clyde in the Quarter-Final.

1905: Rangers thump Morton 6-0 in the Scottish Cup 2nd Round thanks to goals from RS McColl (2), Finlay Speedie (2), Archie Kyle and John Walker. The Light Blues were drawn to face Beith in the Quarter-Final.

1911: A goal from Jimmy Bowie and a Willie Reid double seals a 3-0 win for Rangers against Morton in the Scottish Cup 2nd Round. The Ibrox men would face Dundee in the Quarter-Final.

1922: Despite going ahead through Sandy Archibald, Rangers can only draw 1-1 with Albion Rovers in the Scottish Cup 2nd Round.

1928: Rangers suffer a 2-0 defeat by Motherwell in a League fixture at Ibrox.

1930: Jimmy Fleming scores the only goal in Paisley as Rangers beat St Mirren 1-0.

1933: A Jimmy Fleming brace and a goal from Jimmy Smith hands Rangers a 3-1 victory away at Motherwell.

1939: Robert Harrison scores both goals as Rangers beat Third Lanark 2-1 at Cathkin Park.

1950: Rangers thrash Cowdenbeath 8-0 in the Scottish Cup 2nd Round courtesy of goals from Willie McCulloch (2), Billy Williamson (2), Willie Paton, Joe Johnson (2) and Eddie Rutherford. The Gers moved on to play Raith in the Quarter-Final. Only 5 months earlier, 2nd Division Cowdenbeath shocked everyone by taking a 3-2 win at Ibrox in the League Cup Quarter-Final (becoming the first lower league team to win at Ibrox) and even went ahead in the 2nd Leg before the Light Blues came back to win 5-4 on aggregate.

1956: Don Kitchenbrand nets the winner 6 minutes from time as Rangers beat Partick Thistle 1-0 at Ibrox.

1961: 2 goals each from Ralph Brand and Max Murray, and 1 from Alex Scott secures a 5-1 win for Rangers against Dundee in the Scottish Cup 2nd Round. Motherwell would provide the 3rd Round opposition.

1967: Rangers beat Kilmarnock 2-1 at Rugby Park. Davie Wilson opened the scoring before Alex Willoughby grabbed the winner.

1984: Rangers draw 2-2 with Hearts at Tynecastle. Ally McCoist and Bobby Williamson put the Gers 2 up, a lead they would hold until the 88th minute.

1989: Stuart Munro is on the scoresheet as Rangers draw 1-1 with Dundee Utd at Tannadice. Gary Stevens also scored an OG. On the same day, Nicky Walker leaves Rangers to join Hearts in a deal worth  £125,000.

2001: Rangers have Fernando Ricksen sent-off as they go down 1-0 to Celtic at Parkhead.

2004: Craig Moore and Hamed Namouchi get the goals as Rangers beat Kilmarnock 2-0 at Ibrox.

2007: Kris Boyd nets a hat-trick as Rangers beat Kilmarnock 3-1 at Rugby Park. Steven Naismith pulled a goal back for the Ayrshire side.

2012: Goals from David Healy, Lee McCulloch, Sone Aluko and Salim Kerkar earns Rangers a 4-1 away win over Dunfermline.

2018: Rangers come from behind to defeat Ayr Utd 6-1 in the Scottish Cup 5th Round at Somerset Park, thanks to goals from Alfredo Morelos (2), Jason Cummings, Josh Windass (2) and Jamie Murphy. The Light Blues moved on to play Falkirk in the Quarter-Final.
