1879: John Christie is the only known scorer as Rangers defeat South Western in a friendly at Kinning Park.

1890: Rangers defeat Kilmarnock 3-1 in a friendly at Ibrox with goals scored by Hugh McCreadie, Tom Wylie and John McPherson.

1902: 2 goals from Alec Smith helps Rangers to a 4-2 victory over Partick Thistle in a League match at Meadowside Park John Walker and Bobby Neil were also on target for the home side.

1913: Rangers come from behind to defeat Dumbarton 3-2. Robert Parker and Jimmy Bowie scored for the Light Blues at Ibrox, but it was a late Jimmy Gordon penalty that was required to secure the win.

1919: A goal each from Andy Cunningham and Tommy Cairns ears Rangers a 2-1 triumph against Partick Thistle at Firhill.

1924: Tully Craig levels up for Rangers who draw 1-1 away at Third Lanark.

1930: 2 goals from Bob McGowan and 1 from George Brown sees Rangers defeat Falkirk 3-1 at Brockville.

1941: Bobby Bolt, Jimmy Smith and Charlie Johnston all score a goal each at Douglas Park as Rangers beat Hamilton 3-2.

1947: Rangers defeat Queen of the South 3-0 at Palmerston Park thanks to a Willie Findlay brace and a goal from David Marshall.

1952: First half goals from John Prentice and Billy Simpson sees Rangers defeat Falkirk 2-1 at Brockville.

1958: Rangers come from behind to beat Clyde 4-1 at Shawfield courtesy of goals from Harold Davis, Billy Simpson and Ralph Brand (2).

1967: An Alex Ferguson double and a goal from Willie Henderson in the second-half to earn Rangers a 3-0 home victory over Cologne in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup 2nd Round 1st Leg.

1969: A goal each from Andy Penman, Willie Henderson and Willie Johnston seals a 3-1 victory away at Airdrie.

1975: Martin Henderson pulls a goal back as Rangers are beaten 2-1 by Hearts at Ibrox.

1978: A Wells OG is decisive as Rangers defeat Arbroath 1-0 in the 1st Leg of their League Cup Quarter-Final at Ibrox.

1980: Rangers are held to a 0-0 draw by St Mirren in Paisley.

1986: Rangers are beaten 1-0 by Motherwell at Ibrox.

 

1991: Disco Dale Gordon arrives at Rangers in a £1.2 million transfer from Norwich.

1995: Late goals from Alan McLaren and Oleg Salenko secures a 2-0 win for Rangers against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

1997: Richard Gough nets the winner on 29 minutes as Rangers defeat Celtic 1-0 at Ibrox.

1998: Rangers thump St Johnstone 7-0 in Perth thanks to goals from Rod Wallace, Jonatan Johansson, Stephane Guivarc’h (2), Andrei Kanchelskis and Jorg Albertz (2).

2006: Rangers are upset 2-0 by St Johnstone in the League Cup Quarter-Final at Ibrox.

2014: Goals from Nicky Law, Lewis Macleod, Kenny Miller and Nicky Clark earns Rangers a 4-0 victory at home to Falkirk.
