1875: David Gibb is on target for Rangers who defeat the 23rd Renfrewshire Rifle Volunteers 1-0 in a Friendly at Flesher’s Haugh.

1886: A Charlie Heggie double and a goal from Alick McKenzie secures a 3-2 victory for Rangers over Third Lanark in a Friendly at Cathkin Park.

1897: Rangers thump Morton 7-2 in the Scottish Cup Semi-Final thanks to goals from John McPherson (2), Tommy Low, Neilly Gibson, Jim Miller, Tommy Hyslop and Alec Smith. The Gersw would play Dumbarton in the Final.

1909: A goal each from William Yuille, Tom Murray and John McDonald earns Rangers a 3-2 win against Celtic in a League match at Parkhead.

1915: Tommy Cairns and Dr Jimmy Paterson score to give Rangers a 2-1 victory over Clyde. This match was an away fixture for the Light Blues, although was played at Ibrox.

1940: Rangers defeat Falkirk 3-2 in the Scottish Emergency War Cup 2nd Round Replay. A Willie Thornton double and a goal from Alex Venters sets-up a Quarter-Final with St Mirren.

1943: Torry Gillick and Jimmy Duncanson get the goals as Rangers beat Hibs 2-0 at Easter Road in the Southern League Cup Section D.

1948: Willie Thornton scores the only goal as Rangers triumph 1-0 over Morton at Cappielow.

1954: Rangers beat Berwick Rangers 4-0 in the Quarter-Final of the Scottish Cup courtesy of goals from Billy Simpson, Willie Paton, Colin Liddell and Eric Caldow. The Ibrox men would play Aberdeen in the Semi-Final.

1963: Rangers cruise to a 6-0 win against Airdrie in the Scottish Cup 2nd Round with goals scored by Ralph Brand, Davie Wilson (3), Willie Henderson and Thompson (OG). East Stirling would provide the opposition in the 3rd Round.

1965: Rangers suffer a 2-0 defeat away at Aberdeen.

1968: Rangers are beaten 1-0 by Hearts in the Scottish Cup Quarter-Final Replay at Tynecastle.

1970: Rangers sign Motherwell Goalkeeper Peter McCloy in a swap deal that sees Bobby Watson and Brain Heron head to Fir Park. The Girvan Lighthouse would spend the next 16 years as a Gers player before staying on as a coach for 2 years after retirement. The ‘Keeper would make 533 appearances for the Ibrox Club, including the 1972 European Cup Winners’ Cup Final in Barcelona.

1971: Goals from Willie Henderson and John Greig secures a 2-0 win for Rangers at home against Dunfermline.

1982: Derek Johnstone is on target in Rangers’ 3-1 defeat to Aberdeen at Pittodrie. Neale Cooper was amongst the scorers for the Dons.

1993: David Hagen, Mark Hateley an Ally McCoist all score a goal each to hand Rangers a 3-0 win over Hibs at Ibrox.

1999: Rangers defeat Motherwell 2-1 at Ibrox. Rod Wallace and Jonatan Johansson were on the mark for the Light Blues.

2004: Rangers are held to a 1-1 draw by Hearts in Edinburgh. Craig Moore had put the visitors ahead with a penalty.

2005: Late goals from Marvin Andrews and Fernando Ricksen seals a 2-0 victory for Rangers against Dundee at Dens Park.

2008: Rangers are beaten 1-0 by Werder Bremen in the UEFA Cup Last 16 2nd Leg at the Weserstadion. The Gers progressed 2-1 on aggregate to face Sporting Lisbon in the Quarter-Final.

2011: Rangers beat Kilmarnock 2-1 at Ibrox. El Hadji Diouf opened the scoring but a Clancy OG was required 3 minutes from time.

1988: Paul Emslie – (Aberdeen). Rangers: 2007-2010 (Midfielder). Apps: 1.

1999: Myles Beerman – (Mgarr, Malta). Rangers 2016-present (Defender). Apps: 8. International Caps: 1 (Malta).
