1898: Rangers thump Polton Vale 8-0 in the 1st Round of the Scottish Cup. Goals from Alec Smith, RC Hamilton, Jim Miller (2), John McPherson (2), Bobby Neil and Willie Goudie earns the Gers a 2nd Round tie with Cartvale.
1910: William McPherson scores to give Rangers a 1-0 victory over Hearts at Ibrox.
1916: A Willie Reid hat-trick and a goal from Tommy Cairns sees Rangers seal a 4-1 win over Motherwell at Fir Park.
1921: Geordie Henderson grabs both goals as Rangers beat Kilmarnock 2-0 at Ibrox.
1927: Rangers defeat St Johnstone 4-2 at Ibrox thanks to a Jamieson OG and a hat-trick from Alan Morton.

1970: The SRU met to discuss a request from Willie Waddell to use Murrayfield for a Friendly match with Hearts, 2 days later at 1pm, 2 hours before the National Rugby team were to take on France. The Gers faced a number of weeks without competitive football due to snow and ice, although Murrayfield had been protected by an electric blanket. The Request was eventually withdrawn when it was thought possible that Rangers’ League match with Dundee Utd could go ahead. The match was postponed, however.
1972: John Greig, Colin Jackson and Ian McDonald all score a goal each at Ibrox to give Rangers a 3-1 victory over Falkirk.
1977: Rangers beat Kilmarnock 3-0 at Ibrox thanks to a Derek Parlane double and a goal from Alex O’Hara.
1983: Rangers come from a goal down to beat Dundee Utd 2-1 at Ibrox. Robert Prytz equalised for the Gers before Andy Kennedy netted the winner.
1990: John Morrow scores the only goal to seal a 1-0 win for Rangers over Kilmarnock in a Testimonial match for Stuart McLean.
1994: Rangers beat Kilmarnock 3-0 with goals scored by Pieter Huistra and Mark Hateley (2).
2012: Rangers ease to a 4-0 win over Arbroath at Gayfield in the Scottish Cup 4th Round. Goals from David Healy, Weddeburn (OG), Nikica Jelavic and Salim Kerkar booked the Gers’ place in the 5th Round alongside Dundee Utd.
2016: Liam Kelly joins East Fife on loan, where he would win a League Two winners medal.
