1874: Rangers win their first ever Scottish Cup tie 2-0 against Oxford. Goals from David Gibb and Moses McNeil secured the Gers’ place in the 2nd Round alongside Dumbarton.
1885: George Sommerville is the only known Rangers goalscorer from their 7-3 Friendly win over Falkirk.
1891: Hugh McCreadie and Robert Fraser score for Rangers who draw 2-2 with Third Lanark in a League match.
1896: John McPherson equalises for Rangers who draw 1-1 with Celtic at Parkhead.
1903: Rangers are beaten 1-0 by Third Lanark. Although this was an away fixture for the Gers, it was played at Ibrox.

1931: Rangers win another Glasgow Cup with a 3-0 Final victory over Queen’s Park. Goals from Jimmy Smith, Bob McPhail and Harvey (OG) sees the Trophy heading back to Ibrox.
1936: Despite going 2-0 ahead through goals from Jimmy Smith and Bob McPhail, Rangers can only draw 2-2 with Partick Thistle in the Final of the Glasgow Cup.
1942: Rangers thrash Third Lanark 5-2 in the Glasgow Cup Final with goals coming from Alex Venters (2), George Young, Charlie Johnstone and Torry Gillick.
1951: Rangers draw 1-1 with East Fife at Ibrox. Willie Waddell netted an 76th minute leveller.
1953: Rangers are beaten 2-0 by Partick Thistle in the League Cup Semi-Final.
