1891: Rangers play the Thistle in a Friendly at Beechwood Park. Unfortunately, the scoreline is unknown.

1894: John McPherson is the only known Rangers goalscorer from their 3-2 Friendly defeat by Dundee at Carolina Port.

1900: Rangers defeat a Dumbartonshire Select 5-3 in a Benefit Match for Councillor Clarke’s Poor Children Fund. 2 goals from Johnny Campbell and 1 each from Jacky Robertson, Bobby Neil and James Tutty earned Rangers the victory.

1923: 5 Geordie Henderson goals and 1 each from Andy Cunningham and Tully Craig sees Rangers thump St Gallen 7-0 in the 2nd match of their French and Swiss Tour.

1954: Rangers continue their North American Tour with a 7-0 thrashing of Victoria thanks to goals from Billy Simpson (2), George Young, Willie Paton, John Prentice, Johnny Hubbard and Willie Thornton.

1962: Rangers players and staff receive their visas for a mystery, ground-breaking tour of the Soviet Union. 3 matches were scheduled against Lokomotiv Moscow, Dinamo Tblisi and Dinamo Kiev behind the Iron Curtain with the hosts responsible for all arrangements.

1976: Colin Stein and Martin Henderson are on target for Rangers as they draw 2-2 with Minnesota Kickers in the penultimate match of their North American Tour.

2004: Marvin Andrews joins Rangers on a Free Transfer from Livingston.

2006: Rangers sign Karl Svensson from Goteborg for £600,000.
